These are drawings from a 5, almost 6 year old girl in foster care. In some of her early drawings from a year ago and you can clearly see how she has developed and grown in self esteem (she goes from smaller to larger) and how strongly connected she feels to her foster mom (how close they are/touching). When she first came into care with her current foster mom at 4 years old all she could do was put stickers onto paper. Now she spends a lot of time on the details. She would love to be an art teacher when she grows up!
